You have rights over the personal data we hold about you. This page sets out what those rights are and exactly how to use them. The only personal data we hold through this website is what you send us via the demo-request form — so for most people, a request here is quick to fulfil.
Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Prymera Consulting Private Limited, Unit No. 10, 16th Floor, Aurora Waterfront, GN-34/1, Sector V, Salt Lake City, Kolkata 700091, West Bengal, India. All requests below go to connect@remitso.com.
Your rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the following rights:
- Right to be informed — to know what data we collect and why. That’s what our Privacy Policy is for.
- Right of access — to get a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — to have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) — to have your data deleted where there’s no overriding reason to keep it.
- Right to restrict processing — to have us pause our use of your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — to receive the data you gave us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including any direct marketing (we do not do automated marketing from this site).
- Right to withdraw consent — where we rely on your consent, to withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing already carried out.
- Rights around automated decision-making — we do not make decisions about you through solely automated means on this website.
Your rights under India’s DPDP Act, 2023
As we are established in India, if you are a Data Principal under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you also have the right to:
- access a summary of the personal data we process and the processing activities;
- correction and erasure of your personal data;
- grievance redressal — to raise a grievance with us (see below); and
- nominate another individual to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
How to make a request
Email connect@remitso.com from the email address you used to contact us, and tell us:
- which right you want to exercise (for example, “please delete my data”); and
- enough detail for us to find your records — usually your name and the email/company you used on the demo form.
We may ask a question or two to verify your identity, so we don’t disclose or change someone’s data on the wrong person’s say-so.
Our response time
We will respond without undue delay, and in any case within one month of a valid request under the GDPR/UK GDPR (extendable by two further months for complex requests, in which case we’ll tell you). Requests are free; we may only charge, or decline, where a request is manifestly unfounded or excessive, and we’ll explain if that ever applies. DPDP requests are handled within the timelines required by that Act.
Complaints and grievances
We’d like the chance to resolve any concern first — please contact us at connect@remitso.com. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority:
- UK — the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), ico.org.uk.
- EEA — your national Data Protection Authority. A list is maintained by the European Data Protection Board at edpb.europa.eu.
- India — the Data Protection Board of India, once operational under the DPDP Act.
